The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. Great food. Great prices. Outside bartenders were unfriendly but a nice waitress saved the day. Go!!! Just dont sit at the outsife bar!!!
I have been there before and have always enjoyed the food. This time it was as good as it has been in the past. Great food but more important was the fantastic company I happened to be with. It was the topper of a very memorable day. I look forward to going back soon.
I've been here many times and have not had a racist experience and I'm Puerto Rican. I'm assuming all the ppl complaining were in a group and someone got pissed off and everyone wrote a negative review bc TripAdvisor actually has recent reviews that were great. Now if I'm wrong and there is a "racist" staff there I hope they fix that person/s and the problem bc once I experience anything racist from this place I won't go back. But so far, so good.
