I have had many animals over the years from horses and farm stock to guinea pigs and exotic birds. The list of dog breeds I have owned is endless. I have been around the block with all sorts of vets and am convinced that Dr. Widener is the best vet I have ever had in my life. He spends time with not only the pet but with the owner explaining what he is doing during an exam and about the treatment he is recommending. He is kind and caring and what I would call as a dying breed of caring vets who are in the business because ve... read more

It is hard to believe in these days we are in, that there is an old fashion, real life, caring veterinarian, not in business just for the money. After calling every Vet clinic in Pierce, Thurston and King county, no one would look after our pet rooster, but Dr. Widener had no problem with it and made an appointment asap to get him in. Our bird was near death when we could get him in that day and EVERY other "bird" doctor would not see him. I can't explain the anger we had to "All birds" doctors that would not see our bird. I... read more

Great, caring vet! Dr. Widener is unlike any other vet in the respect that he combines affordability with great service. Instead of pushing you out the door and running a bunch of tests like most vets, he takes the time to listen and figure out what's wrong. I take all three of my cats to him and he listens to every concern intently, then explains solutions. Super affordable! FriedHair has the WRONG vet, it's not a "she" and there's no "she" there.

Great vet, competitive prices – Dr Widener is a great vet, and will work with you to find out why your pet is sick. He charges well below what most clinics around town would charge. He really cares about any pet and will make sure you dont spend your money on unnecessary treatments or medicines for your pet. Although my only complain would be that his assistants are not up to par but its a small price to pay for great care at low prices.

The Best Care For Your Pets! – First I would like to say that I have never written a review about ANYTHING! I am one of those horrible people who always reads reviews but never finds the time to write one. I felt compelled to write this because I am so thankful I found Dr. Widener! About 20 years ago I worked for an old fashioned Vet who really cared about the animals, didn

Best Ever – I took my 2 dogs in because they were throwing up every day. I thought it was going to be Super! Expensive and complicated. But, he actually took the time to do a good interview and tried to get to what was causing the problem, We figured out it was because they were eating grass and this was making them throw up. I know if I would have went to Banfield or Hwks prarie vets like I did in the past, they would have run every test they could and it would have cost a me alot!! I walked out of there with a new found co... read more

Wonderful Vet! – My dog started having a really bad reaction due to having fleas, he worked with me and found a company that helped us out with the bill since I couldnt afford it all at the time. He helped me through to get what was needed and he wasnt concerned with making a huge profit. He wanted my dog to be well. I will be back!!

The best Vet around Dr. MICHAEL Widener – I started seeing Dr. Mike Widener in 2003 with my dog Nanook, then my 5 ferrets and also 1 cat and soon to be a kitten added to the list. Nanook is now 14 and has lived a life of a cat with 9 lives all with the help of Dr. Mike. This last I had fed her raw salmon not knowing what could happened he saved her in the nic of time. He takes very great care of all of my animals as if they were his own pets. He always greets me and my family as we come in. Dr. Mike W. explains everything to... read more
