Very slow service this store
What a gem, worth the hype. Food is bursting with fresh, quality ingredients and flavor. Ordered the Kai Yang Som Tum (grilled BBQ chicken, papaya salad, sticky rice, toasted rice sauce) and every component was so well executed. Only call out would be that prices are certainly higher than other casual Thai eateries, but the quality of the food reflects that. Interior of the restaurant, not quite. Fun and festive, but at these prices, I expected a little more. Still 100% worth the visit.
I have been curious about this restaurant for years and just last evening I and four others visited. I was thoroughly disappointed. Food arrived irregularly; it took fifteen minutes from the arrival of the first person's dish to the last. When I queried the wait-person, she angrily barked, 'You wanna cancel?' There was absolutely no effort to expedite. (This despite the reviews for service frequently being negative.) Cute spot but dishes came out very oily and noodles undercooked. Very few gluten free options which is odd for a Thai place— especially no gluten free curries. Overall not the best Thai experience in the City.
