My situation is very similar to those mentioned. The gaslighting, the lying and of course the absolute lack of care. Because of this “doctor” I no longer go to appointments without someone to witness and make sure I am not being lied to. She would say one thing to my face, and then write the complete opposite in her notes to my other doctors, denying me life saving medication. I recently had my 4th visit with this doctor and she basically told me I'm lucky to have her as other ID docs would have dumped me as PT by now. Got on me for being scared when first sick with disseminated VF because docs thought I had stage 4 ovarian cancer so excuse me for being "scared." I told her the fatigue is terrible and she puts in report that pts fatigue much better. She lies and I will never ever see her again. If my ascites and pleurisy come back I will see my P.C.P. Appointment started off well. Friendly and sounded professional. Her background is impressive, and thats why we chose her. About 5 mins into the appointment, she started asking leading questions, making assumptions without clarifying, and ultimately pulled a pamphlet out of her pocket regarding valley fever. She proceeded to tell me to go to the lab and test for valley fever, but followed that up with, "Even if it comes out positive, we wont treat it." Charged about $600 for that pamphlet.
