I went to HCA Florida Citrus Hospital with a ruptured appendix in early February of this year. Dr. Golkar was the surgeon who handled my case. He got me through this horrible situation from then until now (May 2025) with class and excellence. He has been informative, understanding and professional....and a really great guy!! I couldn't have asked for a better doctor or surgeon to handle my case. Citrus County is very fortunate to have him at HCA Citrus Hospital!!
I went to the ER at HCA Florida - Citrus in early February (2025) with severe abdominal pain. Dr. Golkar quickly deternined I had a ruptured appendix. He took charge right away, coordinating with other doctors and staff at the hospital and treating the infection in my body. He made a potentially serious condition manageable. I thank him for his knowledge, plainspoken communication and caring manner. I recommend him highly.
I went to the ER a day after simple hernia outpatient surgery with vomiting. Dr Golkar was the emergency surgeon on duty and repaired the previous surgeons work. Thanks Dr Golkar I’m forever indebted.
He was so awesome. He operated on my brother (emergency) colon . We couldn't have picked a better Dr. He explained everything to my brother and I when he did the reverse. Bed side manners where out standing. Thank you Dr Golkar.
From the welcome desk and registration, to the same day surgery nurses, OR team and PACU, my outpatient surgery such a wonderful experience. Dr. Golkar and anesthesiologists took their time explaining the procedure, nurses ensured I was comfortable (they treated it like a spa day) and prepared me for what was to come; then I had great nap! Their hospitality and empathy was unmatched, and I was in and out so quickly with very little pain. Thank you, all!
Some years ago now Dr Golkar literally saved my life!! He was recommended to me by a Dr and Nurse in the ER of Citrus Memorial. I had been severely sick for 8 years and over that time no Dr listened to me and took me seriously until I was sent to Dr Golkar. At that time I looked like a 63 lb teletubi. He ran a couple tests and figured out what was wrong with me. Finally after 8 yrs of the medical profession accusing me of being a drug addict which of course I wasnt. Dr. Golkar is caring, knowledgeable, and shows concern for his patients. He has a great bedside manner. I feel blessed for this Doctor to take over care of a post-op complications from another surgeon.
The office staff are always great. Dr Golkar takes his time, He never rushes you

Dr. Golkar did a good urgent surgery I needed. Was a clean cut with a nicely healing. Reason I gave 3 starts was because after surgery his visit to my Advent Health Palm Coast Hospital room were extremely quick with no much explanations. Looks like he just did it because had to do it by laws. Hi has either lack of personality or he is not king of gay people (I am gay and married to a guy).
