It’s unfortunate I feel compelled to leave this review, however after feeling abandoned by Joanne and having a run in with Fred I owe it to future customers to let them know of my experiences. While working with Joanne she was fantastic. She’s talented, creative and knows her stuff. Fred on the other hand was rude to my husband during an installation and had a melt down in their showroom while I was there alone with him. Had I wrote this review when they installed my shades I might have given them a better review, but 6 months after my shades were installed, I have a problem and Joanne is suddenly unable to communicate with me. I have automatic shades in 8 windows that Fantastic Windows installed. The batteries in the motors are supposed to be 1. NEW; 2. Lithium. Since the installation of your order at the end of November 2017, we have done the following at your house; - added an additional remote and changed the programming of the shades because you did not like the sequence. This remote was only a backup for your home automation system in case of power failure. - returned and removed the second remote, you would not pay for it. In the beginning, this company was great. Joanne came out. She was extremely nice and had some great suggestions. She measured for my drapery. I ordered electrified draperies. I provided the fabric for the sheers and the drapery, however, she said that I could not provide the blackout lining for the drapery. I figured, ok, let them make a little money on the lining. I never feel it is worth the time and, absent exigent circumstances, would never want to disparage a business; particularly one that is family-owned. As you state, I went out of my way to provide excellent products, advice and service. A call after five months does present a challenge because of the time laspe. I wish I could remember what happened five months ago quickly but as you were told your file would have to be reviewed so I could refresh my memory. Today was the second time Fred provided outstanding service for me at the Chalfonte in Boca Raton. I'm glad I kept his card when he provided smooth and efficient service for us last year for our Hunter Douglas blinds. After I emailed pictures of the current problem to him, he phoned within minutes to arrange to fix it within a few hours, all in the same day, at an extremely reasonable cost. The "Horror Show" began when the owner came to my home to repair a vertical blind. He told me he would have to take it to the shop for repair as the string had to be restrung. He gave me an estimate of $150 to $175 and would take one day.He called the next day to return it and he did but explained there was a great deal more work to repair it and the cost was $250. He put it back and gave me a written bill with a one year warranty and I paid him. The string broke within 3 months and he will not come back to honor his warrant... read more
Hi, I used this company to service my Hunter Douglas blinds, First three service calls he was excellent. The fourth time they came out to do work on the blinds, I called to have them come back to re-fix one of the blinds they had fixed. Sadly, the owner was mad and rude upon arriving to my place, as he was leaving he angrily replied to my good bye. I have not done business with them since that day.
Very happy with my experiences with Fantastic Windows - I needed some type of window treatment for the 3rd bedroom of my townhome. I had previously tried to hang some cheap curtains and ended up causing big holes in the wall. I knew I found the right company when they said they would take care of everything, even the holes that I made! The service was excellent and the products are amazing.
