Absolutely love the ladies there!! Only downside is not knowing each individual stylist’s work schedule ahead of time. He waits until the day before to post their schedule which makes it really hard for the customer to make a plan. I have a certain girl I use for my coloring and I never know if she’s going to be there that weekend until the Friday afternoon before. They have a big sign on the window that shows all the specials including that Monday is kids haircut day. Then when you get there and drag your kids out in the freezing cold you get up to the door and it is locked with a little tiny sign that says are now closed on Mondays. Their Facebook has completely wrong hours so it was a useless waste of time to bring my kid out in the cold.
I have been going to the Alton Fantastic Sams for close to ten years. They recently hired a young stylist by the name of Katelyn. (Hope I spelled it correctly) She has colored and styled my hair on my last two visits there. I am satisfied with any of the girls there who I get. Don’t let Katelyn’s age fool you. She knows what she is doing. I have been getting SO many compliments on my hair. Thank you Fantastic Sams for hiring this talented and pleasant young lady.

Love the Fantastic Sam's in Alton, IL. They always do a great job on my hair! 💕💖 Katelynn does an amazing job! I have very fine and thin hair. Katelyn colored and cut my hair. and showed me how to make my hair look thicker than it is. She also took the time to show me how to style my new haircut! Thank you Katelynn.
This is the cut our 14 year old son received after asking for a flat top as he admires the military. Instead of asking for clarification about something she knew nothing about, he got this. One side is actually shaved up half an inch higher than the other. We have 8 kids. This place no longer has our business.
The wait was unreal. The two girls working was more interested in talking then working. A wait for a hair cut should not take 30 min. More work and less talk would have gotten through the growing line of customers waiting. Will not come back very disappointed
