I ordered a sheet cake for a birthday. The cake was terrible. It was dry and so thin. It was completely uneven and the icing was as thick as the cake in some spots. The cake tasted like a cake that had been frozen. We were all disappointed.
RecommendedI've been going to Fancy Pastry since they were on 2nd Ave, a place I love , but today i was not pleased at all. I pulled up , sat in my car for a minute because the inside was kinda full. While sitting there I watched 3 young women fixing pink cupcakes with some kinda decorations on them. I ordered a half sheet cake and it was extremely dry, never had a bad cake before and ignored some of the recent reviews and went ahead and ordered from there. Cake was lopsided, built up with icing and the decorations just looked messy. Get it together Fancy Pastry.
Holy cow!! These guys went above and beyond our request for a volcano cake for our 4 year olds birthday!!! It was amazing and beautiful. You guys made us so ecstatic and Charlie was absolutely in love with it!!! We also got these amazing cinnamon twist doughnut thingys that were out if this world. Our favorite place!!!
We ordered our son's birthday cake at this bakery. We had never been here before but are so glad we found it. The cake was delicious. We also picked up other pastries while we were there...everything was fantastic...especially the apple fritter holes!!! We will definitely be back!!

Fancy pastry used to be the go to for decorated cakes, I've been using the for years. Here lately the quality and the appeal of their cakes have gone down hill. My aunt just got an expensive cake there for my cousins JoJo party, and all they did was wrote JoJo on the cake, after telling her it would have bows and plastics and be very beautiful. I could have decorated better than what this " professional" bakery did.
Love Fancy Pastry Shop! They are on top of their game when it comes to making sure everything is cleaned and the safety regulations are met!!!!! And all the food is delicious! So glad you guys are open back up so I can get my donut holes and turnovers!!!!!!
By making sure, staff members are trained properly in regards to health and safety. That they are washing their hands, not touching items with bare hands, touching their face and hair while serving customers.
