Purchased a few items from them and was told we could exchange at anytime with the receipt. They closed the store but sell online and they won't honor it anymore. Doesn't seem to be good business practice or stand by their word.
My family has bought many lovely pieces at Fancy Flea -- it's one of the first places we go when we are looking for a piece of period jewelry. Regarding negative reviews: in my experience, some people post reviews only when they are disappointed or angry. Yes, per the most recent prior review, it certainly seems like they pick and choose which customers they will pay attention to regardless of price point of potential purchase. In addition, they aren't very graceful about how they hand you off to another sales staff member. Wonder if it is a matter of commission? In any case, the shopping and purchase experience has changed at Fancy Flea from what it used to be.
Racist and awful staff. I went in with four white friends and the staff tended to them and let them see and try on whichever pieces of jewelry they wanted. Everytime I asked to try something, I was told “later” “in a few minutes” or a straight out “no”. It’s 2023, there is not place for exclusionary and/or rude behavior.
