unsatisfactory service and rude employee today, tues april5, 2011 i took my sister,brother-in-law and 2 grandchildren to the famous daves over at 74 st. we were seated, but did not notice how close to the door we were. when a male server came by and asked how we were i said it was pretty cold where we were, and he said "well do you want me to bring you a blanket" well that set the tone for the meal. not wanting to upset my grandchildren i bit my lip. had it been me at that point i would have just gotten up and left. this guy... read more
Birthday Deals Every year for our birthdays we have been mailed postcards with birthday specials to come and eat at Famous Dave's. We didn't get a card this year, so I called the restaurant to see if they were still mailing them out. I was informed that that was a "Corporate function" and would I like their number? It is Saturday, at 4:45 p.m., Corporate works on Saturday? The manager I spoke with didn't think to offer that if we showed our ID (with our birth-date on it), that would suffice. I have never thought that they ha... read more
If you want good service - Don't go here We had a party of 7 people and we waited for over an hour to be seated. When several large groups got seated before us, we discovered that we had been skipped on the list. They were not very apologetic and didn't seem to care that they just lost a large party.
Famous Dave's is Fantastic The priceing here is pretty expensive but I crave the rib platter!!! The ribs are really tastey but even better in the corn muffins. You put some butter on there and you can cancel Xmas!!
