Went here on Oct. 6th 2012 to celebrate a birthday and anniversary, 8 of us in our party, we had to wait 50 min. to get seated and we called ahead, they don't take reservations. The service wasn't that great; the server came out and told us they were out of tri tip for one of our plates so we got brisket instead. Great barbeque joint! Good food at a good value. Approx $15 for 2 meats, 2 sides, 2 slices of toast, and heavenly cornbread muffin. It's not South Carolina, but it's as close as you're gonna get in Portland. Half the fun is the sauces, varying from sweet and tangy to dragonfire hot, all ready at the table to be sampled. Famous Dave's gave me food poisoning – I ate here today with family and me and my mom are both sick. After I ate I had a sensation to throw up and trust me things are coming out both ways. I ate the "Sassy Salad" and if I might say I was trying to play it safe by getting a salad. This sucks. The service was just okay my waitress acted like she was too cool to be serving us. I do not recommend it. Food is overpriced and disgusting.

A Legend in Their Own Mind? – Having lived in the South for 9 years, we're always on the lookout for good BBQ in the Vancouver/Portland area. My in-laws recommended Famous Dave's after visiting their Everett, WA location. I still cannot believe we drove to Tualatin from Vancouver specifically for less than mediocre BBQ. The tastiest in portland so far... – We've been here on 4 occasions now, and will be coming back often. I have found the menu to be hit or miss as far as the ribs (not falling off the bone). That said, I have found my perfect meal of to die for BBQ pulled pork and Buffalo wings (some of the best I've had) the sides are all quite good as well. Then if you still have room, they have a killer bread pudding to finish you off!

Save your money – OK, so when I first discovered Famous Dave's in the Midwest, I fell in love. Living in the NW and being deprived of great BBQ, I was excited to learn that Famous Dave's was coming to Oregon. I have to say, that I've eaten at the Tualatin Famous Dave's 3 times, and each time, the Ribs were not the same as what I experienced in the Midwest. Great Food, Great Atmosphere – Much better than the typical National chain restaurant. The country antique theme fits perfect with the phenomenal barbeque food. The All-American BBQ feast was incredible and is perfect for those who crave several BBQ items. I highly recommend this restaurant for small to large groups and it's very family friendly.
