I’ve been a patient of Family Practice of Hockessin for many years, and have consistently received excellent care. For the past several years, my primary caregiver has been Shanthi Balaraman, FNP. Shanthi is a consummate professional, is very considerate of the needs of her patient, and conveys warmth in her care and treatment. She is a credit to FHP and to the medical profession.
Doctors and clinicians are great, very attentive. Office staff seems overworked at times. They dropped the ball on 2 of my prescriptions... The pharmacy, which I've been using for 15 years, made several calls over the course of a week about refilling a prescription. The office claims they never got the call. The office staff also claims they called me on 06/02/2025 about follow up with another Rx. I checked my phone ... never got the call. I've been seen in this practice for almost 9 yrs. The staff is awesome! The Drs and Pa are also awesome.
I have been going to this office since I left my pediatrician! Many of my family members and friends also use this office for medical care.. If you find a caregiver you connect with, just request that person, every time!
