good food The family palace is a great restaurant for sunday breakfast after church.It's a great place to enjoy pancakes, eggs, and sausage. It does get very crowded though on sunday mornings. the food is moderately priced. It's one of those places to grab a soup, salad, or grilled cheese for lunch or when theres nothing in the house for dinner. It's nothing fancy or special but it's a great family restaurant and diner.

Good food This is a nice family restaurant for the odler crowd. They tend to be very busy on Sundays. The food is decent, portions are huge and prices modest. Overall, the service is great, although I did have an awful experience once. Fortunately, it was an isolated incident.

PSYCHO OWNER! used to like this place, but now it is owned and operated by these Greek brothers and one brother's son. The older brother is nice and laid back, although he seems like he's asleep half the time. The son is great; attentive, professional, friendly and efficient. But that younger brother - PSYCHO!!! I came in one time and he was cussing and yelling his head off at the poor waitresses in front of everyone. It was such a disgusting power play. His language was obscene and his anger was so irrational and uncalled for, totally abusive. And these poor girls, who are always working hard, looked like they would cry. IT MADE ME SICK. Well, I moved next door to them this year and started taking carryout. Everything was fine until they started screwing up my orders. I didn't say anything at first, but one time a got angry when I asked for one thing and got something completely different. The final straw came when I was asked to get something for a friend and I ordered something too. I went to pick it up and not only did they get it wrong, they smashed my food into a teeny little carry out box no bigger than 4 inches. My food was ruined and I was expected to pay for it. I muttered the h-ll word under my breath and psycho angry a-hole went postal. Not only did he throw me out after making a scene, but followed me to where my friend was waiting and tried to scream some more. I I told him I don't allow anyone to speak to me in such an abusive manner and that I was not his employee, child, or subordinate in any way, and walked away while he was still ranting. I don't know if it's a Greek guy thing or what, but I loose my appetite when I see abusive, control freak behavior. This guy is dangerous and should not be in charge of anything! Can you say "anger management" Also, the food is bland and undercooked all the time. They do give alot of it, but so what if it's not that great. GO TO SALLY's down Harlem near Higgins. They have good food, good service and they owner seems sane. Dappers is better than the Palace if you are looking for excellent Greek cuisine. Anywhere but the Palace. They had their 15 minutes. I suppose it's convenient for the seniors, but so is Denny's and Warsaw and Vince's. Even Cafe Biaggo's is excellent. Just beware. This guy is dishonest, lazy, extremely immature, dangerous when his ego is not being stroked and unstable. Maybe he's demon-possessed. They lost my business and my friends are with me on this. We are taking all our business to Sally's. Join us, won't you? Sally's is awesome!
