They would rather turn patients away for a mere $50 less deductible when they can just bill the patient and collect larger sum when they charge insurance for the visit. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Just bill $50 and you’ll make more money in the long run. Not coming back! I’ll take my business elsewhere.
I hardly ever post reviews but I needed to share how wonderful of an experience I had. Dr. Smith is so knowledgeable and personable. I was able to ask all of the questions I had and left feeling confident that the care I received was the best possible course of treatment for me. I highly recommend coming here even if you don’t live close by. I’ve been to other podiatrists before for foot injuries and Dr. Smith is simply the best by leaps and bounds. Family Foot Clinic provided me with the absolute BEST experience possible. Initially, I scheduled with a podiatrist off E Pioneer Ave.. After waiting in that office over an hour, that provider looked at my feet from across the room and told me to "keep soaking my feet." I was suffering from chronic ingrown toe nails for years and Dr. Smith treated me with respect and compassion. This office is very pleasant to work with. I struggled with the collections process. It had been during the pandemic and my bill was over 1k after insurance as my son HAD to get his toes taken care of. Anyway, this offices collection agency (OCI) refused any form of payment and treated me like a terrible non coherent human being. I cried the lady was so mean. Had bunion surgery. Very happy with experience. Very little pain after surgery and recovery was easy - 6 weeks and back to wearing regular shoes. Don't put it off if you need it done!
