This place keeps going down hill. After 2 families left, a bed bug came crawling across the floor. We notified the secretaries so they could spray something and the lady at the back desk responds with "Well how do you know what a bed bug looks like?" Absolutely disgusting and not professional at all. I do have a photo of it as well.
I know everyone has to learn somehow, but when that "somehow" comes at the price of a patient leaving in more pain than when they left, maybe let someone with a bit more experience handle it. As for the the dentist she made sure to let me know that they usually only see kids there & said she didn't have time to pull my tooth. I called & got an emergency slot, which means someone had cancelled their appt. She said "Well, I know that this didn't just come up overnight," like I had put it off on purpose. My experience is they don’t do anything here. I was told they could not pull my tooth here. I was seen at other dentists in town. It was possible to pull it as long as I paid a ridiculous amount of cash. Since this is the only Medicaid office in palatka it is sad that the dentists they employ are unqualified (or unwilling) to perform dentistry. I am currently pulling it with pliers and going to the emergency room when I’m done. That is our Medicaid dental in palatka
Dentist is great but the front staff needs to get it together. Especially Brooklyn with her attitude. Learn how to schedule an appointment correctly if not the first time, at least the second time.
I came there about a broken tooth, and I made it clear that is what I came for. The dentist ignored the broken tooth and tried to pull a wisdom teeth that is not bothering me. When I told her no, that she cant pull my wisdom tooth, she rudely took off her gloves and walked off. I drove an hour away from home to deal with this unprofessionalism.
