Long story short, St. Michael was not a part of our original birth plan. But when my wife went into labor unexpectedly early, it was the closest birth center and turned out to be one of the best places we could have been. On the birthing side, they have all of the labor tools (blocks, balls, bathtubs, etc) that my wife could have asked for, and the rooms are comfortable. I had the most wonderful experience, the birth aspect was traumatizing and scary but the nurses and doctors quick action saved my babys life. The whole team from start to finish was amazing.
My visit started with my OB saying I was able to be induced to have my first baby. I was very nervous as any new experience like this would have on someone. I had multiple nurses along my 4 day stay and I want to say that I was over the moon with how professional and compassionate every single person I encountered was. I had a scheduled c section October 1 2025 with Dr. Quimby and my experience was wonderful! Not only do I adore Quimby but everyone she worked with that day were awesome. The front desk gal did forget to tell the nurses we were there, she was pregnant and it was like 0500, but luckily the nurses are so great at checking rooms they found us and took care of us right away.
