If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you want a birthing center with doctors and nurses who violate your consent, do not offer informed consent, use scare tactics to, and bully you into harmful decisions, then this is the place for you.
My friend had her baby there and it was extremely unfriendly environment. Made her and her husband feel like they were a inconvenience. The anesthesiologist was terrible, bad bed side manners and wasn't understanding to her needs, as she was nervous about a C-section. I would never recommend Silverton hospital to anyone having their baby. Especially when you have salem as a choice.
When I had my first son 2 years ago, I was there for a week postpartum. I had CPS called on me and had to speak with them not even 6 hours after my birth there was no reason, CPS told us it was because we were native parents and they were making sure that we had all the resources we needed and that we needed to take parenting classes. I had 3rd degree hemorrhaging, and my sheets were soaked. My sheets were changed only once while I was there, so the rest of the time, i had dried blood covering my sheets. I felt really comfortable in their hands. Went in for a regular induction. Ended up with some severe complications. Everyone was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. An overall wonderful experience. I thank them for helping to bring my baby crawl into the world.
