Fairmont San Jose is a great local hotel The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel in Downtown San Jose right in the center. They have great large event rooms for banquets and dances that work well for large groups.
Home away from home My son goes to San Jose University and when we come up to visit this is where we stay. The beds are so cozy and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They've added on a new wing to the hotel that has amazing suites. Just a few blocks away from the college along a great central area with shops, restaurants, a rock climbing gym, and a theater. Centrally located. The Grille on the Alley is a great steakhouse within the Hotel. Our favorite!
Delicious! We appreciated this unique restaurant where one can choose any number of small or larger portions from an extensive wine-matched menu. Absolutely superb service and delicious meal

Aria Restaurant The experience my friends walked away with was very professional.This is not to be thought of as a stuffed shirt kind of way but rather sharp and relaxing at the same time.I would recommend them.
Aria Nice ambiance in this sort os american/asian fusion restaurant. They bring you warm bread with four different spreads right when you sit down. The food and service are both good.
Great Place to eat! I love this restaurant. It is very fancy and expensive but well worth it. You are treated like royalty and the food is prepared to look fantastic when it arrives at the table. Excellent food, excellent staff and excellent restaurant!
Best for High Tea or Dessert! This place is fancy-shmancy, but more in the traditional style than the urban-trendy one. I don't think the dinner cuisine lives up to its ambiance (or is worth the high prices) - but afternoon tea and late night dessert are a good way to soak up the vibe without breaking the vault.
You'll never want to go home. I loved it here! I've never been to a resort more peaceful. The rooms were cleaned spotless everyday, the spa was excellent, I have never been treated so well, well, maybe never is too generous, the Four Seasons Troon North is excellent too. Anyway, you'll never wanna go home. The shopping was great and a lot of fantastic restaurants nearby. I will definitely come back -- with a girl of a much better character next time.
