I came to visit my friend who was placed here under false pretenses. He was lied on and they placed him on a 5150 hold which they then extended to a 5250 hold for no reason other than to flex their power. My friend literally doesn’t have any history of causing harm to himself nor others. He doesn’t have any mental illness either and being here is putting his job in jeopardy and he cannot contact them nor show up for work. some of the nurses were kind but the facility itself is horrible, they don't give you any products to help with hygiene and leave you to stink everyday. i felt very unsafe at the facility, two of the patients made me deeply uncomfortable and i was called racist names by a patient, they don't separate the very ill from the high functioning. i would've never got through it without the friend i made.

Wish I could give 0 stars. My brother was here years ago. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He would tell me all the things they do in there. Forcing him to take meds. They give patients 72 hours to take the medicine even if they're not there for treatment. If the patients don't take the meds, they force it down their throats. I’m not sure where to start. The experience I had for my very short visit will last me a lifetime. I left with more trauma than I went in with. Do not take your family member friend or enemy here. Do not allow a hospital to take anyone here. There is a large room like general population they stick people in for DAYS. Who knows how long you will be in there. It’s a completely mixed area of people in all states and I mean ALL STATES and levels of violence. People urinate/defecate on the floor and eat from the trash cans. Staff... read more
