I would give both the Surgery Center of Fairfield for a colonoscopy experience and also the billing department there "Zero Stars" if possible. My husband went in for a regular colonoscopy back in December 2024 which should have been 100 percent covered by our insurance. He had a wretched experience, woke up with cuts in his throat from aggressive suctioning during the procedure, and we had a hard time getting anyone to explain to us what had happened. Worst experience ever. Had a 9am appointment. Was there until 2:30. I had to sit out in a public atrium, with no where comfortable to sit, even though the surgery center had a nice waiting room. They don’t allow family or friends of the patient to wait there. Not one person updated me throughout the procedure. And then I get a phone call. “You can come pick your patient up at the front door of the building. Just drive your car around.” I asked how the surgery went, and what the discharge instructions were. I was very disappointed had an appointment at 11:30am and wasn't seen until 2:10pm.
