Had a great stay Breakfast was a step above other places, great selection for all tastes. Staff was exceptional providers and vwry friendly. Would stay here again if ever in the area.
Breakfast is very basic and not that tasty. They do a good jib at keeping coffee and tea supplied all hours. Nightly prices are high. Location is poor for dining and shopping. Easy ride and close to the airport. Airport shuttle is nice.
I must leave this review for Charles who was working the front desk when I arrived at The Fairfield Inn Lobby in Astoria today. I was third in line and watched Charles greet every guest with a smile going above and beyond to assist with checking in and restaurant recommendations. WHAT I DIDN'T EXPECT WAS TO BE AT THE WRONG HOTEL! What happened next touched my heart. I highly recommend against staying here. In the middle of the night, someone in a nearby room kept slamming their door—doing so more than ten times within a single hour. Each time, the noise was incredibly loud, making it absolutely impossible to get any sleep. I am certain that was the sound of staff members opening and closing doors—uninterrupted—from 3:00 to 5:00 a.m.
I stayed here for a night because new apartment wasn’t livable yet and landlord prorated rent to move in a few days late. The hotel is really nice. Rooms are clean and spacious, WiFi works well, the breakfast (pictured) was solid, etc. Most importantly, the staff here is beyond friendly and helpful. They were great. The only slight issue with this place is that the location is kind of trash unless you are driving through or only staying there to go to LaGuardia the next day.
