I stayed for one night and had a very bad experience. The front desk staff was unfriendly and had a poor attitude right from the start. The pool, which is advertised as heated to 76°F, was freezing cold. To top it off, the breakfast buffet had very few options, and we had to wait in a long line just for them to bring out more eggs and sausage because nothing was ready. I will not be returning.
Traveling with 3 grandchildren isn’t easy and we were towards the last night of our 5 day vacation in San Diego we called the front desk just to check if it was a slight possibility to check in early, the receptionist said to call back in an hour then I asked if our family could just go and hangout by the pool until check in at 3 pm she said sure no problem. Great hotel, price and location close to Legoland for night stay and being at Legoland early next AM
The room was really nice and always smelled good when I walked in. The shower had terrible water pressure (all hotels do) but the showerhead was a really bad combo with the water pressure. At night the air conditioning is kind of loud. The breakfast is amazing.
Convenient to Legoland, so expect a significant number of younger families staying here. Location is close to the main road but separated so the rooms are quiet. Rooms are clean and meet the expectations for a Fairfield Inn: not fancy but competent.
