Showed up for my reservation and hotel is a complete dump. Checked into room and grabbed shower and noticed hair all over my 2 bath towels. You can feel springs in your back on beds. The whole 2nd floor smelled like marajuana. I had my son with me so we decided to request our money back. I asked front desk lady to go smell the second floor weed smell, and to look at the bath towels and she wouldn;t. They let me know that I would have to call at 3 to talk to manager for a refund. Save yourself and do NOT stay at this dirty hotel – instead, drive 10 minutes down the highway to the much nicer and cleaner Fairfield Inn Myrtle Beach Broadway at the Beach location instead. I checked in around 5:30 PM on a recent weekday evening. When I got to my room, I found nail clippings on the carpet and long strands of hair all over the bathroom floor. Complete Management Failure and Unacceptable Rudeness I have been a loyal Marriott customer for over 30 years, and this was hands-down the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott property. If you expect basic customer service, communication, or respect, avoid the Fairfield Inn Myrtle Beach North. At 6:00 AM on the day of checkout, I spoke with the front desk to request a 2:00 PM late checkout. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that others deserve to know about it. We were initially assigned Room 312. The room had a strong musty, mildew-like odor, and parts of the floor were damp. The hotel was also conducting renovation/construction work directly adjacent to the room, and the nearby ice machine area was covered in plastic sheeting.
