This place is rundown, not very clean, and overpriced. We are used to staying at Marriott hotels and resorts with usually good experiences. This hotel does not lives to the brands reputation. Would not stay here again nor recommend to others.

Very friendly staff, especially when we checked in late at night. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for just a one night stay traveling through. Free breakfast is included and they have wifi. The shower pressure was great and they also had a rain shower which was a pleasant surprise. Big parking lot. We had an overall good experience.

We had a pleasant stay in Alamogordo at this hotel. It is located directly north of the local golf course and right across the street from a very good winery themed restaurant. The breakfast is standard fare for residence inn / Fairfield and I could get my regular go-tos (self made waffle + oatmeal bar). We were able to eat outside and enjoy the lovely weather each day. If I could rate lower, I would. I booked a week ahead only to get an email 2.5 hours prior to planned check in stating they were unable to accommodate us, listing one possible hotel alternative. We had to find an area with cell service to pull over and call that hotel to book. When I called to ask about it, staff said they overbooked. I left a voicemail for the manager with no response.
