I stayed here for 3 days with my family. The building was clean and well maintained, and my kids really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the fruit in the morning and the cookie and milk time in the evening. It was a very nice touch for families. However, the first room I was assigned was Room 101, and the carpet had a strong mop-like, musty smell that made it very uncomfortable. We have stayed at this hotel for years! It was always clean, staff was awesome, and breakfast was better than expected. Something has changed. When we arrived this time I was met by a lady at the front desk who was extremely courteous and nice. The night shift supervisor was not. His last name was Dierks and he was extremely arrogant and acted like everyone was a problem. Not the place you want to stay for Convention Center events.
Surprisingly good for the cost. It's a Fairfield, so you pretty much know what you're getting. (I stayed in a double queen accessible suite, which may not apply to all rooms. The hotel only has ONE queen suite; the rest are kings.) THE GOOD: - Hooks -- so many hooks! - Handheld shower head with adjustable settings - Actual fan (!) in bathroom and normal, non-sliding door - Fridge and microwave in room (Schucks Grocery across the street and lobby snacks for purchase) - Cheaper than other South County hotels I've stayed in THE... read more
As a Marriott Ambassador, I stay in Marriott brand hotels (usually Fairfield Inns) around the country every week of the year. I can honestly say this Fairfield Inn is Number One on my list in the country. It is in extremely good condition with great amenities and the staff is trained very well from housekeeping to front desk to support. I would highly recommend it to any traveler.
