You might show up and find your reservation cancelled. I'm a Marriott Gold Elite Member. I booked two rooms through the Marriott App months in advance to attend an event at Notre Dame. After I booked, the hotel figured out they could get higher rates than what I had booked, so they cancelled ALL their lower rate reservations for that weekend. Same thing happened with me..I booked with a third party, called and confirmed the day before.. only to be yelled at by the rudest manager ever ( over the phone btw).. she said she didn't not need to honor third party booking. But the end of the scolding, I was in tears and sarcasticly thanked her for her hospitality. Then I guess she felt bad and honored my booking, by also adding to be out first thing in the morning.. Marriott is my favorite hotel chain. I stay with them over 100 nights a year. This is an older property that needs an owner to pay attention to it. The hotel is very dated. The pool has a sign on it that says closed for cleaning but it's pretty obvious, if you go back through the most recent reviews, the pool has been closed for a very long time. I booked on a third party site. Received both a third party confirmation as well as a Fairfield Inn confirmation. Called the day before to confirm booking and check in time. The clerk mentioned no problem with my booking. Arrived within 30 minutes of check in start time and was told they would not honor our booking from a third party. Fairfield is an excellent place to stay the staff here are incredibly accommodating and make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The location couldn’t be more convenient, perfectly situated in the middle of so many great restaurants, giving you plenty of dining options right at your fingertips.
