Tried to make an appointment for my dog but was told it would be a $50 dollar deposit just to see someone. I laughed because I've never been charged a fee just to book an appointment at any vet I've ever gone to. When I asked about any other fees I would incur or how much the exam fee even was I was told they couldn't give me that info until I completed my appointment booking and paid. I used to like this location until recently. My dog has a heart condition and requires medication twice a day. I’ve always gotten my meds for her through chewy because it’s easy and they have great customer service. A few months ago when I placed my order as I usually do, chewy informed me that the vets office declined the order. When I called it went straight to voicemail. Always a great experience
Complete rip-off. Took my cat here due to a growth, they charged me $260 to put blood under a microscope. Then they wanted $1,600 for surgery. Immediately, even used sales tactics to pressure me. I took kitty to a vet right down the street for a second opinion. New vet charged just $37 for the same blood evaluation - BC Fairfield wouldn’t release the results to the new vet (fairhaven)… Talk about shady.
