A good place for your pet We had to have a dear family pet put to sleep here. The staff and vet were extremely kind and considerate. They also participate with Vashon Island Pet Protectors for reduced rate services.
Better than average, but several mistakes The vets are caring and compassionate. I once saw a cat by the side of the road. The cat had been hit by a car. It was 10 pm. I called the vet on call at Fair Isle who agreed to see the cat. By the time I got the cat into the clinic (30 minutes later), it was dead. the vet was very nice and did not even charge me.
The Best Veterinary Clinic on Vashon Leptospirosis is a complex disease. No vaccine is 100% accurate, lepto is found commonly on Vashon from standing water. Once your pet has this disease, the vets(from any clinic) will try to treat this diesease, no treatment for ANYTHING is 100%. Their is only one Lepto vaccination to TRY to prevent lepto, the best ways to avoid lepto in your pets are getting the vaccine and preventing your dog from drinking out of standing water. Complete Incompetence Two of my pets died as a direct result of the "services" rendered by these "veterinarians". One was misdiagnosed with a knee injury - it was a spinal injury diagnosed by another veterinary clinic. The other was injected with heart medication for a non-existant heart condition. I urge you to go to any other veterinary clinic.
I trust Nell! Nell (& others) have always done a great job taking care of my animals through the years. I feel safe going there. If it weren't for Nell, my dachshund would not be walking (since she ruined a disk at age 5 & is now age 13 and bouncing around!). I was living in Seattle & took her to a vet there. The anti-inflam's didn't do a thing & they said $3,000 surgery paid upfront & 50/50 chance she'd ever walk again. Nell did acupuncture & she started moving after the 1st visit.
