Liza is such a sweetheart, very kind! My husband and I love going there. I always recommend going to Failte if you want different sweets, food, dining wear, ect. It's so fun looking around and asking questions, most of the time going to the shop is just like seeing a friend you've not seen in a while, we talk to Liza for at least a half hour or so before we even buy anything lol! I love the feel of the shop, very easy going! Should be going back there pretty soon and I can't wait :)
The tiniest of shops. But there are treasures pleasing to all the senses everywhere your eyes wander. I promise, this tiny jewel is full of magic. I can spend hours there, never growing tired. Especially when Liza is there. I will say, it will be worth your time to stop in, even if you're passing by Lexington on the interstate. I've been in so many Irish shoppes in my time. This shop is truly a hidden gem! They do a great job of bringing a little bit of Ireland to Lexington. The merchandise is wonderful and outstanding, but the owner is even more so. Her joy and love for Ireland is contagious! I'm so glad I found this sweet little shop.
It's worth the trip for be just to get the bacon, sausage, black pudding and bread. A taste of Ireland in Kentucky and let's not mention the chocolate.
