The doctor is excellent. The staff are nice yet unprofessional. I was not given orders for bloodwork for my next appointment so I left messages over a 3 month period with no return phone calls. Finally 2 weeks before my next appointment I drove to the office to ask for bloodwork orders. The so called receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. She finally said there I just did it. Dr. Gamiao is very thorough with A1c and how to get you to the next lower level. She suggested I make a few food notes during times of my highest readings & creating a more consistent eating schedule thereby, reducing binging. Joy, Anna & all staff members were very helpful & pleasant, even tapping my knee to remind me to uncross my legs (blood pressure). Unfortunately, the wait times were exhausting. I’ve tried calling and emailing on the Corewell app and have been ghosted by the doctors office and doctor. I was sent by this doctor for bloodwork and they have had my results for almost 3 weeks and again, when I call I get the “I’m so sorry, you will receive a call soon”… I am so lucky for my OTHER specialist who stepped in and were able to read the results and we are working on next steps. We take my SIL here for her appts. One of the front office staff is not very friendly the other is. The medical assistant however is nice, and the doctor seems very caring. The biggest issue with this place is the wait time to be seen. Every time we come we are waiting 1 1/2 to 3 hours!! My SIL appt was at 5. We showed up 10 minutes early. We were not taken back to a room until 5:50. We were not seen by the doctor until 6:50. It is ridiculous how long the wait time is.

I make a point to always be on time for appointments I know things can come up, first time waited almost 3 hours 2nd time just over 2 hours, because I did like her i thought I would try to be first appointment of the day 10:15 arrived at 10 office still locked finally showed up at 10:15 did not get out of there till 11:30 still tried one more time with first appointment of the day same thing happened so sadly I was done with what I feel is total disrespect of patients
