Made an appt for my 9 yr old son, with insurance covering 100%. We were scheduled for a virtual eye exam which means no doctor physically in the room, which would have been nice to know. While checking out, we were asked to pay a $15 co-pay. We asked why we have a co-pay when our insurance covers 100%. Front desk stated he was automatically given a completely separate exam that is not fully covered by insurance without our knowledge or permission. I had a great experience at the EyeTX location next to H-E-B. The virtual system they used to determine my prescription was quick and surprisingly accurate. The staff explained the process clearly and made the whole exam easy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend them if you need an eye exam.
