My husband bought 2 pairs of glasses using Anthem Insurance. At that time the store assisstant already got a phone approval that the insurance would also covered sunglasses. Later Anthem charged more than $200. Since he didn’t want to pay it, he asked for a refund for the unprescribed sunglasses at the store, but was rudely rejected by telling that he wanted to cheat the insurance money . My husband and I were visiting eyetopia for 6-7 years until last year. Dr.Lily Kim is great. But the staff is very unprofessional for the past 2-3 years. They cancelled my appointments twice last year. Also, the staff don't help with customizing the size of rimless glasses (which they would do earlier). I was told that only manager does the customizations and was told to schedule an appointment with the manager. Very long wait for appointments as well as to receive the glasses. Don't recommend. They are not in network with VSP but tell you they will honor VSP prices. One time my daughter lost her glasses and we urgently needed to replace it. I spoke to them over the phone and was confirmed that the new glasses will be as per VSP rates. Went in person and they wanted to charge me $80 for basic kid glasses. There were also multiple times where they charged me extras without confirming with me and thankfully i asked why i was charged so much and they had added addons without my confirmation.
