My mother was refused service because she is deaf and reads lips. She was told that they don't have time to write things down to communicate since everybody has masks on and she obviously cannot read lips through a mask. She was actually told that they don't have time for her! This was blatant discrimination and a disgrace! This is a horrible place of business and they should be ashamed of themselves.
RecommendedDuring our recent visit to Eyeland we came in contact with some wonderful, friendly, and professional people! The office staff, Katlynn Reed, Sue Walburn, Janet Bingaman, and Amy Boyer went out of their way to help with the entire process from advice on selecting lenses and frames to advice on lens care and even made the most unpleasant part of the process, billing, almost enjoyable by finding ways to find us discounts for everything we needed within the parameters of our insurance coverage. They lied about ordering my contacts. After waiting over a month for my daughter's contacts I called the lab myself and they tell me order was never placed. I didnt tell the woman who answered the phone at eyeland that I spoke to the lab and she lied to me saying they were on back order!!! I later find out from an ex employee and she tells me they wait until the have several orders before they actually send the order out to the lab.
I stopped in today and asked if they could tighten my frames. The lady was nice enough to do so and even cleaned my lenses for me. Super friendly staff that makes an effort to be helpful.
I can't thank you enough for all the help with my daughters glasses!!! Our insurance has been used up for the year with her eyewear. My daughter goes to pre-k. Her glasses were broke from a child on accident during music time. I of course didn't have the money to purchase new frames. Seems like these things happen when we have no money to fix it haha.
