Dr. Strassman is an amazing optometrist. He is patient, reassuring and an expert in his field who loves and enjoys what he does. I felt very comfortable and confident during his exams for both glasses and contact lenses. I highly recommend him to anyone and everyone who requires eye care.

I decided to try contact lenses after turning 50, despite hearing over and over that it would be nearly impossible. Dr. Starkman never made me feel discouraged. He was incredibly patient, kind, and determined to help me succeed. He spent as much time as I needed over multiple visits, teaching me how to insert and remove my lenses and trying different options until we found the perfect combination. Thanks to his expertise and encouragement, I’m now happily wearing contacts. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Starkman more highly.

I’ve been going to Dr. Starkman for almost 20 years for regular exams, glasses and multifocal contact lenses. It can be tricky to get the correct balance in multifocals but Dr. Starkman is patient and gets them right every time.

EDIT: 10/9/25 Update Just wanted to amend my review below. I took my mother to Dr. Starkman for a new pair of glasses (as mentioned, top notch pair that lasted two years). Additionally, my mother needed her glasses tightened so we took them to Dr. Glassman. Sadly we couldn't get the right fit and it was favoring to one side. Normal practices would have told you to take a hike. Not. Dr. Starkman. he spent 3 hours going through every single tool at his disposal to get the fit right. And when it didn't, offered to fit the exist... read more
