I recently visited Dr. Hardik Patel at Eye Physicians & Surgeons, P.C. in Shelton for my annual eye examination and was extremely impressed with the quality of care I received. Dr. Patel is exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough. He took the time to clearly explain each step of the exam and answer all of my questions, ensuring I fully understood my results. The entire experience was pleasant and professional from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Patel for anyone seeking attentive and expert eye care.
I was very disappointed by the lack of courtesy at Eye Physicians & Surgeons' Shelton office. I had a 45-minute wait for my eye exam. When I said something,I was told: 1. We are really busy. 2. We are short-staffed. 3. You should expect to wait in the doctor's office. (No, I do not expect this.) 4. If you keep talking about this, it is going to delay things further. (WHAT?) 5. I would not recommend this place. They refused to see my kids despite their vision insurance being in network. They claim that their medical insurance and vision needed to be the same. Which is not correct. Typically medical plans do not cover vision care which gives the patient the option of purchasing a different plan for vision. Vision and medical are two separate coverages and apparently the staff is not aware of this. I was having issues with driving at night along with blurry vision so I made an appointment for an eye checkup with Eye Physicians and Surgeons and I was scheduled to see Aliya C. Roginiel, M.D., MPH, I have to tell you all that I have seen several eye doctors in the past 25 years and I will NEVER visit any other doctor other than Aliya C.
