Rie is the best! My husband and I had the best time! She is so knowledgeable about the entire process and walked us through every step! She even gave us all the fun details about how it works with the metal plate the picture appears on. It was so fun! I highly recommend Eye of Rie! I booked tintype photos for my family as something fun for us to do when they were in town. I’ve always loved the idea of tintype’s, especially their history and longevity. We didn’t know what to expect but were excited! When we arrived we were greeted by Rie and Cecil, who were the most welcoming duo. They showed us around, explained the photography process, the equipment and even the chemicals. Awesome experience, incredible work! Rielynn is so knowledgeable, helpful, enthusiastic, and very easy to work with. She makes you feel at ease with the entire process while also explaining each step of the way. These photos are lifetime keepsakes, and she and her team do an incredible job of making it happen with great skill. Highly recommended!! Worth the travel!
I live in Las Vegas but was in Carson Valley for a weekend away - and I'm so glad that Eye of Rie was recommended to me! Rie took the time to answer all of my endless questions about the tintype process - and we absolutely love our photo. She told us that tintype photography is "the last honest form of photography" and now I want her to do my whole family!
We had an excellent experience with this business. Rie was beyond patient with our two Jack Russell Terriers while they posed for our photos, and the photos turned out awesome!
