The eye doctor I saw was nice enough (in November 2025) but she was concerned with some spots on my retina that needed a specialist to look at; I wish they would've called in the referral... every time I call the specialist, they keep telling me the eye doctor office hasn't referred me. When I call to alert Eye MDs of PS (Olympia office) to tell them the specialist hasn't received the referral, the woman answering the phone was very rude and unprofessional. Saw Dr Castillo for a second opinion for cataracts. After a few years they progressed to the point I needed surgery. I recently had both cataracts removed and prescription replacement lenses implanted. I have been so impressed with him, and his high level of personalized care throughout this whole experience. He delivered on everything he said and I couldn't be happier with my new eyes. I highly recommend him for all of your eye care needs.
Went to Dr. Castillo for his opinion on glaucoma and to evaluate my situation. He was thorough in his examination and clear proposed treatment and I've happily stayed with him. Excellent, professional, and highly experienced. And I love his staff!!
I've used these people for 3 years now. And for the most part, the service is really good. The doctors are compassionate and pay attention, which is vital. I would recommend that anyone that goes to any doctor for any reason whatsoever to ask questions. And if you don't get the answers you're looking for ask again, and if they're not willing to answer the questions, go somewhere else it's your body, it's your life and you need to take charge of it. I'm saying this as a medical professional, retired from that profession.
Dr. Castillo is a great doctor. I wish he was my personal physician. He's very straightforward and very caring. I have had a retina, reattachment and now developing cataracts. Has told me to wait on the cataracts till I feel I need them repaired .Not rushing me at all.
