Vision therapy truly changed my life. When I began, I struggled with my vision enough that I didn't feel safe driving out of town and I had headaches most days. My regular eye doctor couldn't help me but then I found Eye Connect. My son (4.5/5) had an issue with his eyes getting lazy every once in awhile, uncontrollably & especially when he was tired. Our concern was one day the eye would give up trying to hard, let it go lazy & focus on the eye that had the best control. Dr. Nola and Megan worked with our family. They identified an issue that was not detected in normal childhood eye exams that was substantially impacting our 8 yr olds reading. With weekly therapy and home exercises his eye is now strong and his reading and behavior in the classroom has seen overwhelming improvement!
Dr Nola and Meagan worked with us with compassion and great care. They provided thorough reports and progress checks to ensure that our daughter was making the improvements she needed. Would definitely recommend Eye Connect for vision therapy!
Ok the short. What do they do. After being seen by an optometrist and diagnosed, you go weekly for vision exercises to train your eyes to correct vision issues for about an hour. In my child's case, double vision. Like physical therapy, the patient is assessed multiple times by the dr to track growth and improvement. They assign homework (20ish minutes 3-4 times a week) and provide a backpack and training on how the homework works and what the goal is.
