They took shortcuts left a big gapping hole Swedish cope logs are supposed to be tight we had to make them take it down and do it right they wanted to fill it with chink. There was supposed to be a covered porch on the bedroom and that never got done. Merv will promise you anything but wont follow through. We wanted slab on grade and he said sure it can be done then after we signed the papers and they started he informed us they don't do that. I would never trust Merv again. Worst builders in Colorado, great workers but very horribly managed and pour quality of work!!!
I helped a family in the 1980s build a log home from raw logs. The whole family spend many hours peeling the logs to prepare to set them. It was a long and hard project. Having the logs all prepared would turn it into fun and still be very rewarding.
