The location is great. A three minute drive to MD Anderson. The room was very clean. The grab and go breakfast was out of coffee by 8 am. The vending machine was out of service. The ice machine was not plugged in. One of the air conditioning units was not working.
This is an old facility. It is clean but shows its age. Rare to find someone at front desk. They are usually in back and have to be called out. Electrical sockets are so old and worn out that most of them will not hold a plug for your phone charger, etc. There is a truncated kitchen with stove fridge and sink, all working properly. Room cleanup is restricted and if you want plates, glasses , eating utensils, pots and pans you have to get them from the front desk. Coke machine is in gym room and wasn't working. I had a terrible experience at this hotel, and I want to share my concerns. Please be aware that nothing works properly here. The hotel keys didn't function, the rooms were dirty, and there was a horrible odor. The toilet in our room was broken, and when I informed the front desk staff, they told me that no one was available to fix it until the next day! My son had just had surgery and I was told to make sure he he used the bathroom withing 6 hours, but we could flush the toilet. My son had just had surgery was still under a... read more
