Explore It I used to take my kids that I was a nanny here all the time because you can buy a year round pass and on a rainy day you can come and explore the exciting things to see. PROS: Good deal for hours of entertainment CONS: Parking is rough during the mid-day time
Nice Place I had to go the Exploratorium for my high school Physics class. Even though I did not like Physics, it was a different experience than the classroom. I feel as though I learned the most from the exploratorium because I was ble to actually see the Physics concepts behind things. Although some of the exhibits were repetitve, I learned a plethora of things. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to learn.
Science Needs Facelift? I love science musuems - and I love the Exploratorium - don't get me wrong. They have wonderful hands on exhibits that make everyone go, 'ooooh, cool!' Unfortunately, perhaps too many people have handled the exhibits as they seem old and tired. The upside is they do have a great science outreach program and special exhibits. PROS: Everyone loves interactive science. CONS: A little worn out.
fun science The Exploratorium is a science museum that both kids and adults will enjoy. Outside, surrounded by Golden Gate Park, the museum is idyllic and tranquil. Inside, there are over 600 displays, ranging from an exhibit on optical illusions to a giant tube that carries sound. The displays are interactive, so kids learn about science while they have fun.
A place for kids and for kid at heart Where else can you find a place where it is educational as well as a fun place to visit. The 1st Wednesday of every month is free so if you want to save a few bucks try to go on Wednesdays. There are different exhibits and they are usually hands on. They have exhibits for all ages. Very fun place to learn. Food inside isn't bad either. PROS: CONS: Take Muni .. NO PARKING
