Been an Expedia customer for 20 years.. I rented a room and purchased the insurance. This usually means that you are covered if you are unable to keep the reservation. So, i called and let them know that i would not be able to travel and please cancel my reservation. They said they couldn't get the property to reimburse my 240.00. I was a faithful Expedia customers for years but I will never use them again. I recently rented a room and the photographs of the property were very misleading. When I arrived, I found the area to be sketchy and was afraid to leave my car parked at the property. The photographs on Expedia looked like a well maintained property. When I arrived, the property looked vacant and unkept. I had already paid for the room but was forced to pay for another room in the same city and no refund was issued. I booked a shuttle pickup with a company recommended by Expedia. They never picked me up for the return trip to the airport. I had to pay for a taxi. I was told I would get reimbursed and that never happened! The explanation is since the company won't return their calls to confirm they didn't pick me up, I can't be reimbursed. So I am being penalized for a company that was contracted by Expedia and turned out to be unreliable. What kind of customer service is that!
they don't answer their phone, so its hard to say if they could be of any use if they did answer the phone
So disapointed with the service. 9 months ago i booked 6 tickets and a car to Orlando in november sadly with airBerlin. They never contacted me in any way to let me know that they stopped the flight it is pure luck i even found out.
