This place is my “go to” they are super friendly and have everything you would ever need at fair prices. The “off cuts” are great for smaller projects or just to browse through to look at all the species of wood. #1!

Great selection, awesome customer service. If you are looking for a unique piece for your home, they have it. Reasonably priced too !
They're always stocked with what I need (usually domestic hardwoods and baltic birch plywood) and have a fantastic selection of smaller cutoffs when I want to play around with something new and exotic. Super helpful staff as well. While there are other lumber stores closer to me, it's well worth it to make the trip up to Frederick.
They have the widest selection of exotic lumber and hardwood plywood that I have been able to find within 30 miles of DC. I could spend all day just browsing through their bins in the office, seeing woods that I never even knew exisited. And, if you don't see what you want, just ask - they probably have it somewhere, or will have it in a couple of days.
