Unfortunately, West Orange location not poppin like it was with the old staff. Although very courteous, they lack certain skills for customer service. My own personal experience the wait time, being helped by a representative but do not have their full attention, when another customer walks in the door sure welcome them but don’t start a full conversation leaving me standing there as if I’m invisible not tending to my needs. Reserved a pickup truck (confirmation #72305270) and tried calling the branch repeatedly starting at opening time—no one ever answered. I showed up after being told the day before the truck might not even be available. I rode my bike there in the rain just to confirm. At the counter, I was told my card “declined,” but my bank (Capital One) confirmed the charge was approved and only reversed by Enterprise. Ordered car 2 months in advance, reserved day before and yet no vehicle was there at arrival. was told to drive to Allentown to get one or they had nothing.
The Temple TX Enterprise team has been outstanding for us. Great service, at all levels. The manager handled our vehicle checkout very smoothly, professionally, and with touches of humor. She allowed us to select a vehicle and then introduced us to the vehicle features. They proactively called to make sure we were coming to pick up the vehicle the next morning, since I had not checked in online. Oh, WHERE do I start? Picked the car up, it had UNDER a QUARTER tank of gas, causing me to IMMEDIATELY have to blow OVER $60 to fill up to get home. I got ONE day of coverage, and they failed to explain I HAD to GO IN IN PERSON to cancel the coverage. And our ONLY LOCATION in town is apparently OUT OF BUSINESS (hopefully the rest follow suit soon. Enterprise is a scam. They rented a car to us and my mom drove it less than 50 miles while her car was being fixed in Bradenton Florida. When returned, the shady sales person went out and checked the car. He reentered the store within 2 minutes and said it was damaged. I disputed it and wanted to take pictures. I went out and could NOT find the damage so I went back in. The sales guy said it was the front grill. So I told him to show me. The front grill fin had been clean cut at one point. Avoid this place. I reserved a truck, did all the registration, payment info etc online. I called the morning of the pick up, the manager assured me the truck would be ready at 10:30. When I arrived the salesman (J.H.) said "we don't have a truck we have mini van", I asked to speak to the manager, (J.C.) he replied "You spoke to the manager this morning" and refused to call a manager. The Branch Rental Manager Jalisa Ferguson was very professional and through in our transaction in renting a car. This is how it should be. I mentioned this to her. I also mentioned that past experiences at this branch - 2031 N. State St. were not so great. A perusal of Enterprise reviews shows a very mixed customer response. If I were a corporate manager I would consider those reviews as a wake up call and correct all those negative reviews. But is is 2026 and Enterprise has remained in business all these years - so....
