Excellent Pricing, Warranty of Products, Personal Service – I have bought several bikes from Exhale bikes. I have found they have very reasonable prices, offer personal service, warranty their products, and have excellent bike fitting assistance. The owner is very available to his customers and is helpful in guiding customers to the best bike for them.
Dishonest and unsafe service! – I brought my bike in for a tune-up after my fiance had hers done a week before. When I went to pick up the bike the back brake locked up when I went to pay at the counter. The derailleur, the front brake pads, and the back brake, were all worse then before the tune-up and the tire was out of true. Someone took the bike for a "test drive" crashed it and then tried to pass it off as if it never happened. Not only was it out of tune but there was body damage to the bike. I have gone into this shop several times over the past year and been quite disappointed regarding their BS pricing scam as recent as yesterday 12.27.08. They conveniently don't put prices on bikes and when you ask you get several different prices from the salespeople there. They seem like a good place for a review of someone like "weights and measures". I have gotten price quotes on bikes in variances of $800.00 to $1,000 at a time. There isn't a 0 star option as that is what this shop deserves. I went into the shop to buy a bike for my wife before Christmas. While the salespeople were very nice, they didn't have any selection of bikes. Some of the bikes had prices, many didn't. I was given a price on one of the bikes. I left to shop around and came back several hours later. There were different sales people working now. I asked a price on the same bike. I was given a higher price. Just okay
We took our bicycle for a repair in the brake system as this was one of the nearest. However after understanding the situation, he went away for quite a while. We were wondering if he would come back or we should leave. However when he was back, he worked constantly on it till he fixed it. We rate them as good workmanship, but definitely they need more help there.
