I am very disgusted with the amount of customer service from front desk employee MaryEllen. I called to schedule an appointment and right away she interrupted me stating "I'm booked for today, we can't see you today." I wasn't asking for a specific day, I was asking for the next available. She advised me to call first thing in the morning to see if there were any openings, and would not schedule an appointment for me even after I told her I was ok with waiting until the next available spot at the end of the month. I was denied services!!! My wife called for an after hours clinic appointment on September 6. My injury happened on September 3. She asked that day what happened and I told her. She asked if it happened at work and I did the "unh unh". She thought I said "unh hunh". So when they asked her on the phone if it happened at work she said yes. She has some hearing issues and regular communication is sometimes difficult. I was involved in an auto accident on I-78, so the ambulance took me and my son here. I can't fathom more incomplete care. I sat in blood and glass for nearly 90 minutes, until I finally walked over to the garbage can in my room and began dusting the glass out of my hair. I also went to the bathroom to wash the blood from my hands, which were badly scraped up, too. The staff watched. My hands were never checked, let alone bandaged. If this is the Spirit Urgent Care Center....I would NEVER recommend going here. They cannot access Holy Spirit Hospital records (yet they're supposed to be part of Holy Spirit/Geisinger). The Dr. really didn't want to treat my mother, but eventually did. But what made it the worst was that I came home with a patient plan for someone else....can you say HIPPA violation. I'm now wondering if someone else got mom's information. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Go to Patient First instead.
