Tom comes across as classist, rude, and incredibly condescending if you happen to be a single female BIPOC artist in the HCV programme. He was only like this after the showing.
I'm fairly certain Tom had NO intention of processing my application at any point; he specifically requested proof of housing assistance, which I duly provided. He insisted this proof wasn't 'good enough' and demanded a vaguely described document, saying he 'knew what he needed' but refusing to state exactly what form this would be. It sounds like some other reviews got stuck in a situation that was out of everyone's control, but for us, working with Tom was amazing! We contacted him to tour one apartment and he ended up showing us 3 places that afternoon. We needed a pet-friendly place, and Tom was able to communicate with the landlords to make sure that two well-behaved cats wouldn't be an issue for them. He continuously communicated with us and worked with us to ensure a smooth application process.
Toured and applied to a unit through Thomas only for him to 4 days later inform us the unit isn't actually available and that he's "sorry for wasting your time". Just don't try to sell units that aren't available in the first place? Absolutely useless In response to business: Please don't lie. We received a text that said "The tenant has decided to stay. Sorry for wasting your time." That's all it said. If the circumstances were explained then we would not have been as upset. Do better.
Toured and applied for a place just to be told days later “the tenant is staying”…. why are we taking people to tour apartments we aren’t even positive will be available?? Waste of time lol
