I have never had a dentist or doctor suggest to me that my discomfort was in my head or that I might have " unrealistic expectations" I paid cash for my denture ( thanks to covid and loss of my dental insurance). I am 62 and worked hard for that money ( waiting tables) What a slap in the face. I will return to this office only to get my records and a detailed account of my payment to them. I have been a patient for about 16 years. I absolutely loved Dr. Houk. I have had nothing but negative experiences since he retired. Dr. Whitehead leaves much to be desired. I haven’t noticed hardly any bedside manner or friendliness to speak of. During one of my recent fillings, I informed him my mouth wasn’t numb yet after the first shot. He asked if my tongue was numb, and I replied that it was. He said my tooth should be numb if my tongue was because of the way the nerves work and proceeded with the filling. Always the best that I have experienced! Dr Houck is retiring, but Dr Craven is just as nice! The staff goes beyond and further to make your experience a good one!
