I can honestly say without a doubt that this is not a place for younger children. Therapy is group therapy. (with all ages) Therapy is a place to be open correct...? A young mind and one that is ADHD at that, sees this openness as more of a suggestive intake option. The things that has been said are so unbelievable and out of character yet so terrifying to hear. The staff calls to report, yet doesn't follow up. Lets discuss the meds.. if your child is hyper active or ADHD again, avoid Excel. This team wants sedated children ... read more

I am so thankful and want to share about the level of care given to my son at Excel Center. My son has been under the care of the administrative leadership and staff at Excel Center for mental health and this is his fourth visit. Most important is with each time that he is come he has made significant progress. He audibly uses some of the coping skills that they have instilled in him. And we understand that this is a journey. Completed a strip search of my 14 year old without consent or acknowledgement. When I confronted the staff, one directed told the truth, the main director lied because she knew she was in the wrong. Stacey is an unpleasant and unethical individual who should be fired from working with these children.

I went to the Excel Center in Lewisville and it truly helped me so much. The coping skills they have given me help me everyday now. All of the staff was extremely nice to me and helped through a lot of stuff. I would 100% recommend anyone to go to this facility if you are struggling with anything.
