I have a speech delayed 3 year old who has been seeing Dr Ewert since birth. She has never tried to interact or talk with my child to let her know what shes doing or try to make her feel comfortable with her or the situation. I work healthcare and you 100% need to interact with the children to make them feel comfortable. I have had to get referrals on my own since she was born because of my concerns not being taken seriously. I have wanted to find a new doctor since the beginning, never been too happy with her overall.
I honestly feel uncomfortable with her as my child's Dr. and am looking to switch. I 100% understand that googling things and forming an opinion isn't the best decisions. This is why I like to bring up information I've gathered to my Dr. to get their qualified responses. However, when asking her questions she is quite rude and condescending. I don't feel welcome to ask questions about my child or health practices. Of course, it must be frustrating as a Dr. but i feel that this is part of the job. Since this is her mannerism,... read more
She understands complex conditions, listens to the parent, listens to the child, and is very smart!
My children were refused from this practice because we favor delayed immunization. Whether you immunize or not, I think any parent should be concerned with a Dr who will withhold healthcare from a child because the parent does not comply with her opinion.
Dr. Ewert is by far the best pediatrician any child could have. She has a genuine kind and caring soul.
We love Dr. Ewert! She is caring, patient, and great with our 6 year old son! She never makes us feel like our questions aren't important or that we are overreacting. I would recommend her for babies and toddlers too.
I totally agree with the post before. Dr. Ewert is EXTREMELY hard to understand and talks like a baby, and not to the baby, just like on. My daughter had runny eyes and nose and was pulling on her ear. Dr. Ewert tortured her by cleaning her ears for almost 20 mins and then said she "didnt think they looked infected." Our regualr DR. was out of the office that day and we love her and have never had a problem with her, but will never again be seeing Dr.Ewert. We ended up back in the office two days later with a horrible ear in... read more
Saw Dr. Ewert on a saturday, chief complaint pulling at their ears (2kids) Dr. Ewert checked their ears said they were "great" in a very hard to understand baby voice. Kids not any better on monday went and saw their regular dr. (who we LOVE) and they both had extremely bad ear infections in both ears. Not sure but I would think that checking for an ear infection is one of the first things that you learn in medical school. I ended up paying double copays and delaying the recovery of my children. I am not happy at all with th... read more
